What happens during a consultation?
During a consultation, you will first meet with our nurse or medical assistant, who will go over some basic medical history, including your past ocular (eye) history. You will then meet with Dr. Lewen for a minimum of 30 minutes, at which time you will discuss your desired cosmetic goals. During your time with Dr. Lewen, you will create an individualized and customized plan together to ensure that you will receive the best approach to achieving your cosmetic goals. After meeting with Dr. Lewen, you will meet with his patient coordinator, to talk about the financial aspects of your surgery or procedure, as well as what to expect before, during, and after. We ask all new patients to allow about an hour and a half for the entire consultation process.
Dr. Lewen and his staff are committed to being with you from the very first contact with the office and along the way through every post-operative appointment! You are highly encouraged to ask questions at any point in time through the process.
Do I need to schedule/make a decision right away?
Absolutely not! Dr. Lewen and his staff encourage all patients to make the decision about surgery and/or procedures at their own pace. At Lewen Cosmetic Center, our top priority is to assist you in making the decision that is best for YOU, when YOU are completely ready and comfortable.
What if I have additional questions?
Dr. Lewen and his staff are always here to answer any questions that you may have during or after your consultation. Dr. Lewen’s patient coordinator, is available by email and phone and will assist you with any questions you may have. If desired, Dr. Lewen will also be happy to meet with you again in order to ensure that all of your questions are answered thoroughly so that you are able to make the best decision possible for your surgery or procedure. We want you to be comfortable with your decision first and foremost.
