Patient Question about Botox

I am 34 years old and I really want to try Botox for the first time. I am a super nervous about losing all my expression. I also do not want to look like I have had any work done. Is it possible to erase the visible lines on my face and the ones between my eyebrows (11’s) while still looking natural?

Hi Amy P, what great and common questions you have regarding Botox! Yes, you can have both your forehead and the glabella (area between your eyebrows) treated, while still being able to make natural expressions. You have provided very clear cosmetic goals, which is wonderful and quite helpful for customizing your treatment!

During your consultation, we will discuss the best option(s) for you to “erase” the lines on the areas you mentioned, while not taking away the very important ability to make natural expressions. While treating the forehead area, I might use a technique called micro-droplet which involves using smaller amounts of Botox in more disperse areas on your forehead to treat the lines effectively while still having some of  the natural movement you desire. The most important thing for me as your physician is to address YOUR cosmetic concerns and to create a natural and individualized treatment in order to achieve your goals.
