I just turned 38, am I too young for an eyelid lift?

There is no right or wrong age for having eyelid surgery as long as it’s being performed for an appropriate reason.  A blepharoplasty, commonly known as an eyelid lift, is usually performed in order to remove extra skin from the eyelid, and sometimes involves fat sculpting or repositioning or modifications in the eyelid crease.  A consultation with a board-certified OculoPlastic surgeon would be your first step. Remember, surgery is not always the only option!  There may also be nonsurgical treatment options available to address your concerns, such as Botox, facial fillers (i.e. Restylane, Juvederm, Voluma, Radiesse, etc.), or other skin care options, including laser treatments.
